Sanjay Tandon, the founder of the firm, is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India; a graduate member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and an Associate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

He started S. Tandon & Associate, Chartered Accountants an Audit and consultancy firm in 1986. The firm is professionally working for leading business houses in India and across industry segments. Mr. Tandon was nominated on the boards of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. (NHPC) and State Bank of Hyderabad by the Government of India.

He is also on the Board of a Hero Group Company and on the Competent Group Board of Companies. He has business interest in stock brokerage, BPO & Call Centre and Insurance Brokerage.
